what are you reading?

So, after my love affair with Twilight and yummy Edward Cullen I took a reading break and knitted. I can’t do both, I have to use “that time” to take turns. Anyway! Mr Knitpho started reading the True Blood series, even before Season 1 came out, and then so I started them too… along with my gaggle of gal pals. They all flew through these Sookie Stackhouse books and well, me? Not so much, I’m still stuck on #5 out 9 in the series. Now Season 2 is on and well, if there is a such a thing.. maybe just a wee bit too much vampire going on. So, Sookie and I will have to take a break for a while and see where the wind blows us.
Today my little chicks and I went to the library to see what we could find. I love the library. I love borrowing these books and wonder a bit who might have read them before me and what they thought of the book. Especially Miles & Mia, and I ask them if they think the kids before them enjoy them they way they are? They roll their eyes at me.
I didn’t plan on getting any books today, since I still have to finish Dead as a Doornail .. but then I found these and leaped for them before anyone else could get them. MINE!
I’m Perfect, You’re Doomed and my little red book
Neither of these are ‘deep reads’ but what they will allow me is some downtime reading and quite funny indeed. So, what’s on your summer reading list ??? I’d love to hear all about it, and if you’ve read either of these… please let me know what you thought!
HAPPY SUMMER READING!

It’s ok to take a break from the fangs! Very low-key redo to the website, almost didn’t recognize it!
Switch from vampires to zombies! “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” by Seth Grahame Smith and Jane Austin.
Nice to have you back! I’ve also discovered the benefits of the library, but have also decided that taking a 16 month old on the trip is pretty much hell on earth. I’m sure you can imagine why this is so. But, I’ve been reading too, slowly, but I have been. I’m really into Phillipa Gregory lately. I read “The Other Boleyn Girl” and LOVED it. Her books are historical fiction, but easy reading. Now, I’m reading the constant princess which is sort of a precursor to the other bolyen girl, but should be read after you read that.
I’m just starting to watch the first season now of True blood on DVD. Wow, that show is messed up, but good at the same time. are the books equally disturbing?
My Friend is reading that right now… have you read it? Interesting.. verrrrry interesting.
