Knitting!

hello there! I know it’s been too long and I want reaally do want to brighten up the digs around here, but thats what I hire my husband to do, and since he’s a triathlete now .. my poor little blog gets pushed down on the list of things to do. It still works, so I thought I’d show you a couple of finished objects that I’ve done in the meantime.

First up, some of my awesome girlfriends and I, we all have daughters and decided to do a Knit A Long of a little sweater. Our girls are all range in age from wee little baby (we just welcomed her into the world on Saturday!), then there is an almost 2year old, almost 3 year old and Mia… going on 5. So, we all took a field trip to buy the same yarn and all casted on for the Watermelon Sweater!

Now, because Mia is sooooooooooooooooooo long & skinny (i’d kill to have this problem) I had to knit & measure and try on through the whole process. I wanted to make sure it fit her for a while and with her long torso & arms, the measurements on the pattern just weren’t going to work.

So, I was quite pleased with how it turned out and I do have to redo the seeds, I used embroidery thread and decided that a thicker yarn would work better. But, it will be a perfect little summer sweater to wear on those cool Colorado nights…

and for my dear friend who just had a beautiful baby girl… I made this little hat. It was the most gorgeous color purple and well, I think it looks more like an eggplant than a berry, but still supah cute!

So, there you have it.. stuff I’ve been doing. I have lots of other stuff to share with you blogworld.. even though you might have heard my goings on on Facebook, but you’ll just have to read about it again!

Happy Wednesday!
