a little K & R
Posted in knitting on 30. Mar, 2009
that’s knittin’ and readin’ in case you didn’t know. First up.. knitting. I am I’d say..77% done with my CPH. I have the hood to do and then the rest of the front panels.. but I had to take a break from that – yes yes I was going to power through it and get it done, but well, Mia needed THIS. So, I had some lovely knitpicks shine in Turquoise that fit the pattern perfectly and I casted on the 249 sts. OY VEY! Back and forth 11times of seed stitch and then the pattern with the little lace details – it’s coming a long nicely. UNTIL! There is this one row, where you section off, and 30sts.. bind off 61 sts… bind off .. 30sts. Well.. i could NOT get it! I have tinked more rows on this dress than I have knit! Some things just weren’t working for me, the knitting Gods were against. Determined by a cloudy sunday and a daughter who went out to spend time with her daddy,I got it all figured and moved on.
and Im reading again. This time I’ve started the Sookie Stackhouse series .. and well, I like them vampires. So much that I dream that I have breakfast with them at diners. But they were the 30days of night vampires..and they were MEAN!
Off to do a little K & R in intervals, while the princess sleeps ( a little under the weather ) and the boy watches the ever lovable Batman.

love that color!! Hope little Mia feels better soon! We went to Dean today and Alana said “this is where we played with Mia” Must meet soon since some kinda warm weather is upon us.
Hope Mia feels better. LOVE that turquoise for the dress. It will be so pretty on her.
It must be so much fun to knit for a little girl. That is one cute dress for Mia. Love the color. Not that I’m rushing anyone, but I hope I have at least one granddaughter …. someday in the far, far future
happy knitting
(and happy Easter, too
