B .. is for Bella Mittens

After we all calmed down off of our obsession of the Twilight series, my good friend Bethe wrote a pattern for the mittens that Bella was wearing in the movie. We all fell in love with all the handknits throughout the movie, more so than the movie itself! So, we all hopped on the mitten bandwagon and they are the warmest most coziest mittens, ever!

I want to make another pair, and not knit so darn tight. They are supposed to be longer and wider, but mined turned out way shorter a lot and I mean a lot tighter. They are actually quite comfy and so so warm in the frigid temps we’ve been having.

These were knit with Lambs Pride Bulky on 10.5US needles …there are a few other patterns out there, but these are the bestest! Thanks Bethe for a great pattern ;)

I made a pair of those for my daughter in Cascade 220, held double. The fabric is so firm but perfect for really cold weather. I want to try another pair in a bulkyweight yarn with more loft to it – going for cushy this time around.

Melody! Those look fantastic. I love mine too. Even knit tightly they are still beautiful.
