24 days

Have you seen the movie 28 days? I almost wish I was trying to escape brain eating zombies for 28days than be home with my kids for 24 days. IN WINTER! It’s a close call. Well I might be exaggerating a wee bit, but when an ice storm hits and then followed by a snow storm.. closing schools for 8 days! When it’s so cold – they really can’t go out in play , but only to bring more boys inside the home for video games and endless snacks… I am SO ready for these kids to go back to school. We’ve kept busy as best we could … I took them here and there and we cooked & baked and did all those fun for them, insane for me things. But, Jan 5. I heart you. I am off to the gym. BY MY SELF. No one talking to me insistently about Clone Wars, Club Penguin, Legos, Action Figures, Leapster, ‘Puters, being hungry, being bored, being tired, wanting to stay up late, endless “MOM?” .. I will have a sweet 2.5hours alone .. to do with what I please. I will hit the gym. I will grocery shop by myself. I will do laundry without help. I will enjoy the silence. I will appreciate my kids just that extra wee bit more when I get them from school and I will appreciate their stories and their arguments and their requests. I will meet their demands, I will gratefully fulfill their needs and wants. Because, truth be told – as exhausted as I am … I’m probably going to be pretty lonely. Quit laughing, it’s going to take some used to!!

Early bed times for everyone! Cuz it’s a SCHOOL NIGHT!

I’m right there with ya! If I don’t get everyone out of my house I’m going to scream – wait I did that this morning.
Now, if DH can just find a new job life will be perfect (it’s not the paycheck, although that is rather useful, it’s getting him out of my house).

    Happy back to school
