Tomorrow we will awaken to a new decade. 2010 is knocking on our door and I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to invite him in for a beer and some chip & salsa.
In 2009 …
I ran.
I knitted.
I summered in Colorado.
I reunited with classmates.
I celebrated my 13th year of marriage.
I celebrated my 38th birthday
I cheered on my husband to complete a 70.3 IRONMAN.
I cheered on my kids running their own races.
I sent my baby to Kindergarten.
I sent my first born to 6th grade!!! 6th GRADE!
I made good friendships become lifelong friendships.
I went to the circus and braved the clowns.
I saw the real in people, and glad their not in my life anymore.
I started a photo O day blog.
I laughed.
I cried.
I laughed some more.
oh… and I got pulled over for trespassing.
Happy New Year Everyone
Thanks for being a part of my life, my family’s life, my internet life.
I wish you only the best of what 2010 may bring to you.

This morning, while finishing up my delicious coffee and catching up on my bloggy blog reading, I came across this story and it just touched my heart.
I have a plan, and will put it into effect today. I love this idea. I love the idea of making this little something and having my M’s leave it somewhere with a little note from us to them. A little reminder that ’tis the season for giving and spreading a little cheer.
If you think you might be interested in participating ... stop on by here. and write your name on the list.
I can’t wait to get started!!

Why is it that we wait until this time of year to remind our friends and family how thankful we are to have them in our lives? To remember how blessed we are with what we have in our lives, who we have in our lives.
It’s this time of year of course that I miss my parents who are at the moment in Vegas, doing only God knows what. I am thankful for that whole what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.. ::shudder:: I am so grateful that my parents are healthy and full of optimism and life to go on adventures, to laugh and love and enjoy their time together. After 50years together no less.
I am so thankful for so many things. My M’s, who drive me bananas but at the end of the day, their tight squeeze and “I love you, mom”, is all I need. Mr. Knitpho who works so hard every day for me to be able to stay home with our babes, this is the greatest thing a dad can do for his kids. So very thankful!
Thankful for my friends, near & far. Without them I would go insane. They keep me grounded, they keep me laughing, they keep me motivated to be a better mom, a better wife and a better friend.
So, to you my friends and family that are sprinkled all over these states, I love you all. Thank you for being in my life.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Back in October, my friend Jen had Q’d a baby blanket on Ravelry and I (amongst others) all fell in love with it. I instantly knew that this was the blanket that I wanted my (almost here) nephew to have. I went out to The Yarn Shop (with my parents), I picked out 4 colors that I loved and that I knew Sarah would love too. I started knitting. They are mitered squared, casting on 150 and each row gets shorter and shorter, they go quick. I knitted all the way up to Rhinebeck and back and then I ran out of yarn. The squares were supposed to be 1 skein each, but for the blue & the brown – I needed a wee bit from a new skein. So annoying, but not a big deal. This blanket was knit during a time span of a couple of weeks. During a couple of weeks that I needed to block other things out of my mind and just concentrate on something else. The border annoyed me. I couldn’t pick up the 150 stitches for some strange reason, so I got as close as I could and just went with it. It did however, make the blanket – for a lack of a better term, Wonky. But, my awesome friend took my blankie home and put the flannel backing in for me, since she is master seamstress. This is the second blanket she’s done for me, and I am oh so thankful!
Yesterday, I gave it to Sarah at the baby shower that I have been planning for the last month. It went off without a hitch, her and my brother in law are off to a great start and our nephew will be arriving in a few short weeks.
So, now I’m finishing up SEEKRIT MITTENZ and cannot wait to show you!
Enjoy your Sunday.
So here are my first 30days..and please visit SNAP HAPPY to see our collaborative photos. It’s such a fun thing.
So, the weekend is already over. Just re-DONK-ulous how quickly is flies by. It was a nice low key weekend and I don’t see how, but I am EXHAUSTED. I actually don’t think I’m sleeping sound enough at night, with the ever so lovely hacking cough.
Today, I had a wonderful afternoon with my princess. For her birthday, she asked if we could go see “Where the Wild Things Are”. She reads and reads and read this book, and we bought her the soundtrack before the movie was even released. But, the weeks came & went and it had been in theaters already 3 weeks..and we promised her we’d see it right away. Today, it was time. The movie was fantastic from beginning to end and I even teared up throughout. I don’t know if it was watching her with that sparkle of love & excitement in her eyes, or the movie itself, know that it really did justice to the book, I thought anyway. We LOVED it. After some time at the park and the required weekend trip to Target.. my Sunday is almost over.
Back to school tomorrow for a short 4 day week..
Time to settle everyone down & KNIT on my seekrit mittensz!

Sinus issues, always make for an attractive gal, don’t they. Your nasaly speech. The constant sniffling. The dry smacking of your lips, because your dehydrated from the meds. Yeah, I’m HAWT.
Hopefully, it’s on it’s way out.
I can’t take much more of this hacking cough.
It’s FRIDAY! It was a long day of coughing and running errands. My dear Mr Knitpho had to work late, and who knows what time he’ll cross the threshold to our humble abode. I do know,he’ll be exhausted and spent. Sigh. So, I’m wondering … do you google wave yet? I got an invite from the spouse, so right now, it’s just us two, but I don’t get it AT ALL. I suppose I will, once more people I know are on there too.
What do you have planned this weekend? I’m thinking some much needed outdoor time for our brood, some photo taking and finally going to go see Where the Wild Things Are. FINALLY. I hope it’s still playing.
You know whats right around the corner in theaters, right? NEW MOON! I’m looking forward to girls night out, drinks and yummy RPATTZ.
Have a wonderful weekend … but of course you’ll be reading more riveting bloggy posting since my goal is to post every day in November!
