Whirlwind!

Melody! Where have you been? Why haven’t you posted.. anything! Well a little while back… my girlfriends fiancee gave me a ring a ding and asked how possible would it be for me to get my ass down to Atlanta to surprise her for her ’29th’ birthday. I’m in.. made all the arrangement with my awesome hubby and just had to try my hardest to keep the secret. I’m not good at surprises.. sure it’s fun and all, but man did I want to tell her that I was on my way to see her! So, finally the day was here and on Friday.. the family dropped me off and I was on my way to Atlanta, GA! (susan, I know! so close!) The getting used to be being myself was a bit hard at first, I felt like I was constantly leaving the kids behind, but after a nice Starbucks at Logan, I calmed down. Car service picked me up in Atlanta (yeah.. he spoiled me rotten!) and I headed for my hotel suite with a big bed all for me. So so quiet. The surprise was planned for me to meet them at a near by restaurant and well.. did we ever surprise her. I showed up, POOF..and told her to scoot over and if it was ok that I sat with them? She was SHOCKED and I really think it took her the whole night to actually realize that I was there, sitting next to her. We ate a fabulous steak dinner, had many beers and just relaxed and caught up with each other! Perfection. When I got back to my room after a long day of goodbyes and surprises and beers.. I had beers & chocolates awaiting me in my room. (her man.. again!)
Saturday morning.. we hit the town. Two girls shopping and lunching talking gossip laughing… good good times. The plans for the evening, we were going to see the Blue Man group — and once again.. the man of hers..always thinking. Had a limo waiting for us all and we hit dinner first and then the show.

Third row..at Blue Man.. if you haven’t seen it .. run, don’t walk and get good seats.. it made the show!

we rocked that show.. and as all those pour souls were walking to their cars… all we had to do was walk right out front …

there are some pics that just aren’t met for the blog.. nothing (too) dirty..just EEK! obviously we had had drinks!

now, it is back to reality. I missed my kids and my husband. Mia was worried about me and Miles was happy that I had a happy weekend. Husband survived his weekend alone with the two little monsters, so big shout out thank you to him for allowing me to escape for a fantastic, rejuvanating, just what I wanted weekend.

AND.. today is my friend Merediths 39th birthday as well. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LADY.. I hope you have a wonderful day full of cake, martini’s and presents!
