Stuck in my brain!

OMG! Do you not hate when you get a song stuck in your head and it just won’t leave … for a really long time! Last week the song stuck in my head was “the heat will rock you.. the heaaatt will roll you…” you know.. by Dirk Diggler in Boogie Nights!? Ahhk! Finally, it moved on.. left.. adios! But then.. now what’s stuck in the ol’ noggin’!?

and! I’m NOTeven into McNuggets YO!
In other exciting news that you just want to know.. I did some stitchin over the weekend! I practiced my embroidery from the practice sheet from the book and I fell in love with the chain stitch. Below.. in the photo you will see on your very left how it started out pretty wonky, and by the end, I was really good… I mean super! I just main chain stitch everything!
I practiced the lazy daisy..and the seed stitch, and the stars .. I had some serious issues with the satin stitch.. so, that fer shur needs practice. But.. IF you want to take up embroidery and don’t have a clue, like me. That Sublime Stitching book is the perfect thing! And then.. see that mini ballband over to your right? Well, talk about cute and quick. I saw on Ravelry and the MDK addicts, that they were doing Mini’s..for like counter wipe downs.. you know stuff like that. Well. I thought I’d whip one up to see what all the talk was really about. Well.. I am using it as a little coaster for my kitchen table.. it’s in pink and a lt. brown..but.. it took maybe an hour and I think I like them more than the normal size.
It was a beautiful fall New England weekend. Soccer in the rain.. which wasn’t too terrible and naps in the afternoon. The WHOLE family.. that’s a rare treat! Now to start another week … and see where my needles will take me next!

About that video… ummmm, does someone have a little too much time on their hands?!?!?!
You and me both – Yo!
Loving your stitching! I have yet to try the chain stitch. Once again, in awe of your quick craftiness!! Have a great day…
Oh btw, can you tell me where to find the pattern for the mini-ballband? I can’t find it on the MDK blogspot and am still on the waitlist for Ravelry. YOU ROCK!!
Your embroidery is really coming along nicely. Practice makes perfect
I love the ballband minis as coasters. Great idea and if they get dirty just throw them in the wash.
I’m into Nuggets yo!
That commercial can eat away at your brain. You must turn it off when it comes on.
I love your embroidery. I don’t think I’ve embroidered since I was like 10 but I love how it looks and every time I see something in blogland that’s embroidered I want to take it up.
Your embroidery is lookin’ great! Satin stitch is a bitch of a stitch.
