The Day is Looking Up
Posted in knitting on 17. Jan, 2007
well. i wrote the blog below last night… as I am a narcoleptic fool.? feeling better this morning and motivated by a blog that i came across.? i didn’t have anything in mind that i felt like knitting.. I am waiting for my cotton from lionbrand to cast on for that poncho for Mia..but needed a quick fix in the meantime.? so.. as I was reading through my blogroll, and found that one of my fellow massachusett-ians (??) was doing this..? i thought.. hey… i can do this too.? what?? melody? a rebel at heart, turned do gooder?? (maybe a wanna be rebel, give me a break.. my dad was Chief O police.. I was always being watched during my teens). ANYWAY.. the hats are for the kids going through Chemo at Children’s Hospital.? I know that when my Mia was going through her deal, there were many volunteers that did kind things for the babes in ICU and well, it’s just something, a little something how I can give a little back.? You know?

in other news… I WON A CONTEST.? YAHOOOOOOOOO.? I got an email this morning from Kirsty over at So Many Yarns.? I never ever enter..and the one time I did.. I won.? Sweet!
and I’ll have to cast on now, because well.. the laundry is done and even IF I wanted to find more laundry to do.. I couldn’t because she was just having too much fun in there..? then we went out for a bit and Taa-daaa…she sleeps.

I just jumped in on the Fun Fur hats, too! Thanks for posting about it, it’s an awesome cause. I’ll go spread the word!
What a Do-Gooder you’ve become! Pepperoni would be proud!
Mia looks so PEACEFUL! Don’t wake her up!
My Boogie has been giving us a hard time about sleeping, too.
Congrats on the contest score!
thanks for making us not-so-do-gooders look bad! :0) Good for you for supporting their cause, though…seriously!
Congratulations on winning the contest!
Knitting the chemo hats is so nice of you…I know they will be appreciated. Your daughter is adorable. Enjoy…they grow so fast
happy knitting

I need to check into your project and what you won. LUCKY!!
Have a good day my pal!
