Im a blogger now …

Everyone else has a blog, so I wanted one too. (i don’t like being left out of things) My sister-in-law Sarah will be adding her 2cents about whatever she feels necessary about knitting, etc. when she has time. She’s a busy lady, with a real job and planning a wedding. So, in the meantime…it’s mine…alllllllll mine.
Everyone has a story on how they learned to knit, their mothers, their grandmothers, aunts.. all of them handing down their family patterns and traditions. Not me. All of a sudden, so many people I knew were learning to knit. Sarah, then my mother who was learning from my cousin Loretta, my neighbor Ann..I thought if they can do it, so can I!! (again, don’t being like left out) I bought a book, a ball of yarn and have since taught myself everything I know today. I love the challenge of it. I love the clicking of the needles. I love all the fibers, and to dream of what one day I might be able to create, other than a scarf, a basic hat, or a dishcloth. I am in the process of making something pretty big, but I can’t go into it, because if she reads this, it will ruin the surprise.
Happy Mothers Day, to all those mothers, grandmothers, aunts and godmothers who mean the world to me.
